Bread and Butters

I am a self taught baker and have been making bread for my family for over thirty years. Three years ago we decided to set up a micro bakery to supply small quantities of good quality sourdough. We purchased a Haussler stone bake oven and are steadily building our customer base. We supply two local health food shops, two local coffee houses and friends who support us and order regularly.

Craft Sourdough

All my bread is made from  natural leaven (sometimes known as sourdough) and takes approximately 48 hours to create from refreshing the leaven to bringing the bread out of the oven. They are all stone baked and contain only flour,salt and water plus the extra ingredients in the specials.

Bread of Leaven

The sourdough is baked in our Haussler electric stone oven. A selection of the breads we bake include: White, Country ( 70% wholemeal /30% white )  and Malthouse . The specials change every week some examples are: toasted sesame seed, beetroot, cheese and herb, multi seed bread, walnut and raisin, hazelnut and currant and chocolate and raisin
